Clarinet Details

The Normandy name has always been a little confusing because some of the clarinets are plastic and some are wood. This Normandy 4 wood clarinet, made in France, is a sweet-sounding instrument. As can be seen in the pictures, the Normandy 4 logo is visible on all parts. The keys no longer have the shine of a new instrument, and there is some plating wear. There are no cracks or repaired cracks in the wood body, but there is a small chip on the outside of one of the tenons. In addition, there are a couple of spots of wear in the finish. Pads, corks and springs have been checked over and replaced as needed, and all parts have been cleaned and oiled. The mouthpiece is in good shape with just a couple of scratches from the ligature and one tiny nick on the back. It comes in a sturdy Leblanc case that has reinforced corners, secure latches, and a little scuffing on the outside. The plush interior has a small amount of wear and cork grease spotting. Included are two new reeds, reed guard, new swab and cork grease.
